We followed Bodhi like hypnotised soldiers in a march-past and entered one of the glass cages.
What a room (maan!), I thought.
Made of wood and black.
Comprising a giant table for 8.
A ledge, framing a concrete jungle (looking like a gigantic lego creation).
With a huge, grey water-balloon floating above it.
Bodhi went and pulled a few strings here and there.
And the blinds folded up in tidy pleats.
Next, he jumped right onto the ledge and gazed out for a couple of seconds.
[ I can't lie I didn't also get a craving to do exactly that.]
But it was my first day, you know.
I was expected to behave.
So I quietly pulled a chair and sat down on the table.
Purnima pulled another one and sat on the chair across me.
Then without skipping a beat,
Bodhi looked at me and said,
"You toh, I know everything about.
So Purnima.. Tell me a little about yourself.."
A little stumped by his disclosure, I had no come back.
[ Very unusual for someone like me. ]
[ Very unusual for someone like me. ]
But then, I looked at the other new intern sitting before me.
And learnt everything she said...
